Museum of Islamic Art & National Museum of Qatar

 

The Museum of Islamic Art contains four floors of permanent and temporary exhibitions, gift shop, a café and a haute cuisine restaurant IDAM by renowned chef Alain Ducasse.

The National Museum of Qatar gives voice to Qatar’s heritage whilst celebrating its future. It spans a whopping 430,500 square feet.

Al Zubarah Fort

 

This 20th century fort is the youngest and most prominent feature of the Al Zubarah Archaeological Site, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A pristine example of a typical Arab fort, its one-meter-thick walls warded off invaders and helped keep rooms cool during the hot summer.

Inland Sea

 

The Inland Sea is an extraordinary landscape with sand dunes and sea beds that will leave you wanting for more.

The reserve is home to wildlife, marine life, and vegetation alike. Enjoy spotting turtles, flamingos, dugongs, Arabian oryx, camels, and more.

 

Al Thakira Mangroves

 

Al Thakira mangroves, located just north of the seaside city of Al Khor, present a large expanse of natural greenery.

Recognized as one of Qatar’s oldest and largest forests, the Al Thakira mangrove is has a unique ecosystem both above and below the waters and is best explored by kayak.

The Corniche

 

The Doha Corniche is a seven kilometer stretch of gorgeous promenade overlooking the serene waterfront. With a crescent shaped walkway around the Doha Bay, the Corniche offers the best views of the city’s modern skyline.

Watch the dhows lighting up the Corniche in the evenings, or simply take a boat ride to soak in the vista of this city.
